Your Privacy Is Important. This explains QRLA’s policies for the collection, use and disclosure of personal information. We are committed to collecting, using and disclosing personal information responsibly and only to the extent necessary for the goods and services we provide. 

What is Personal Information? Personal information is information about an identifiable individual. Personal information includes information that relates to their personal characteristics (e.g, gender, age, income, home address or phone number, family status), their health (e.g. disabilities) or their activities and views (e.g. religion, politics opinions expressed by an individual, opinions about an individual). Personal information is to be contrasted with business information (e.g, an individual’s business addresses and telephone number), which is not protected by privacy legislation. 

The Information We Collect: QRLA collects contact information by various methods including but not limited to information actively provided by its members, potential members, corporate sponsors, and advertisers. The types of personal information QRLA collects includes but not limited to name, mailing address, telephone number, fax number, identification information and special needs information. 

How We Use This Information: The information QRLA collects is used for customer service, communications, accounting, billing, collections, goods and services, distribution of QRLA’s publications. Limited information may be disclosed to association volunteers for the purposes of membership renewals, surveys, or communications. QRLA may use aggregate or anonymous information that will not be directly linked to identify individuals for various other uses for itself and the media.
